GOLDENROD, Solidago canadensis,summer and autumn flowering herb. Of the 130 species, the fall plumed species are most useful for drying. The flat top species do not retain color and do not dry well. The fall species retain their golden color and should be picked when it is only one-third or less developed. Goldenrod makes a beautiful filler for wreaths and arrangements. |
