Global Views I
	This quilt was my final assessment piece to complete my London City & Guilds Patchwork and Quilting Certificate course in December 2005. This contemporary quilt was inspired by my garden globe thistle plants.

	For my original design I used BJ's Cabin blocks on the left, Shiva paint stick stenciled leaves, painted leaf print, Shibori dyed thistle heads, hand dyed and painted fabrics. The rusts and blues were highlighted with red triangle shapes plus red piping. Hand quilting and heavy machine quilting completes the 54" by 26" contemporary quilt.
