BJ Reed Leather Purse

I purchased the basic precut leather kit from Tandy Leather as I don't have the necessary tools to cut this tooling leather. I designed the rest of the purse. I dyed the leather and lace; added the front and back designs; saddle stitched and laced the bag. Adding the jeweled embellishments was fun. I have an even better appreciation for leather crafters as this purse took about a week to construct but it was a rewarding project. Plus it was fun to take it along as a lap project that grabbed everybody's attention.

	OK...so this isn't a quilt but while making my contemporary quilt series Horsepower, I was exposed to a little leather working and have been slowing working my way to a leather purse.
